A printable pdf version is also available to download.
A prayer concert is simply a time devoted to prayer. Most often, this is done with a group.
There are many ways to conduct a prayer concert. Some have a specific topic or theme. Some are organized and possibly even scripted. Others are more open with less structure. Many times worship music accompanies the prayer time.
"Make Me a Vessel"
This prayer concert follows the theme of surrender. We want to empty ourselves and open to the will and purposes of Jesus.
Each section of the concert includes scripture and a worship song. The worship songs reflect the message of the scriptures and help unify and direct our hearts and minds in prayer.
Seven parts :
Praise - Empty - Plow Up the Hard Ground - He Is the Potter - Fill - Living Sacrifice - Pour
Read the scripture and message for each topic. Then play the worship song for time in prayer.
Begin with praise for our Awesome God!

Psalm 66:1-4
Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!
Sing about the glory of his name!
Tell the world how glorious he is.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
Everything on earth will worship you;
they will sing your praises,
shouting your name in glorious songs.”
Let's empty ourselves;
clear away sin, distractions, worries, fears
1 John 1:5-9
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
We have released things we know are holding us back, but we want to go deeper.
We want to give the Spirit freedom to break in deeper; to reveal new areas He wants to purify.
As we journey with the Lord, He reveals rough edges, dry cracked spaces that need to be broken away or renewed.
Like a dry, worn field – He plows and stirs up the ground, revealing a fertile space for something new.
Hosea 10:12
I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love.
Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.’
Psalm 19:12-14
How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
Keep me from deliberate sins. Don’t let them control me.
Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to You.
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
HE IS THE POTTER
Hebrews 10:22
Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
Only God, only the Potter, can make something new from our dust.
Only He can take what has crumbled and assemble it fresh and new.
Jeremiah 18:1-6
The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.
Isaiah 64:8-9
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
We are the clay, and you are the potter.
We all are formed by your hand.
Don’t be so angry with us, Lord.
Please don’t remember our sins forever.
Look at us, we pray,
and see that we are all your people.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me.
Ezekiel 36:26
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
Let the Potter wash over you with His Spirit, replenishing all that was dry, molding your heart and your life into something new.
FILL
We are made new, as He promised.
Now we can be filled - filled with His Spirit.
Ezekiel 36:26 and 27
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
Romans 15:13
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 23:5
You anoint my head with oil;
 my cup overflows.
LIVING SACRIFICE
Sometimes we stop with the filling.
God restores us.
We are thankful.
We stop.
But, God has restored us for purpose. He has filled us for pouring.
He has given us life, and we offer all that we are back to Him for His purpose.
Romans 12
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position Do not be conceited.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord. On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
POUR
2 Kings 4:1-7
The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”
Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”
“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”
Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”
She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”
But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.
She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
The small portion the woman had, her one jar, had to be emptied in faith. God is looking for our faith.
Are we seeking empty places? Do we have eyes to see where the Lord is asking us to pour?
Do we believe He will provide? Do we believe He will fill every jar to the brim?
Are we willing to pour? to give up what we’ve been given?
Are we limiting God, because we only see one jar of oil?
During this last song, ask the Lord to help you pour.
Ask Him to show you who you need to pour into.
Lord, make us vessels of Your peace, Your love, Your hope.
