ABOUT Written on my heart
Hebrews 10:16
"This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds,
and I will write them on their hearts.”

The writer of Hebrews is quoting Jeremiah 31.
Jeremiah is prophesying about the New Covenant God promised.
In the New Covenant, under Jesus, the written law is no longer the focus.
We are created new in Jesus and made right before God by the redemption of His death.
We are justified by His grace, cleansed by His mercy.
Our cleansing and salvation transform who we are, giving us a new heart,
A new heart with the law of God instilled into our new nature.
We still battle sin because of our imperfect bodies, but with the salvation of our souls,
our hearts are recalibrated toward God and obedience to Him.

My heart is new because of my salvation in Christ Jesus, and I want to grow in that grace.
I want what is written on my heart to transform every area of my life.
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Luke 6:45

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. Jeremiah 24:7
