You can see from these and other scriptures that evil and corruption are not new to 2020-21.
Scripture and history make it clear that these have always existed, but it's not just in the few and the extreme.
It's in every heart.
Every person wars against God, desiring the throne of his own life.
Pride and independence challenge the authority of the Creator and set us on a course of sin.
We are sinful before a holy God, yet He does not abandon us. He is our only hope and refuge.
The world exalts the drama and deepens the divide. It encourages and nurtures our sinful tendencies. It parades sin before our eyes.
God stands as the judge, and He judges us all. The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked. - Psalm 11:5
God knows our hearts. We cry to Him for rescue, but He can't just rescue you from others' sin. God wants to rescue you from ALL sin, beginning with your own.
God has sent His ONE AND ONLY RESCUE.
A rescue from your sin.
A rescue that holds eternal promises.
You have to choose the rescue. You have to accept it for yourself.
For God so love the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
Jesus is your rescue.
Repent.
Give Him your life.
Nothing will ever be the same when you make Him Savior and Lord.
The world will never look the same.
You won't have to fear.
You won't have to hate.
Because -
You can see the One who reigns over it all.
You can see people more like the LORD sees them.
You can see your role in the Rescue Plan.
In this desperate, dying world, do not stand in fight or judgment.
Kneel before the Savior and
Run to tell the world about Him.
